Meet Oscar the Onion – Part III
Artist: David Litchfield
Project: Oscar the Onion – A short story by Matt Witt, illustrated by David Litchfield.
Website: www.davidlitchfieldillustration.com
We are proud to present the latest update on the splendid collaboration between Matt Witt and David Litchfield, an illustrated book about a special little Onion named Oscar.
Matt says: I am so excited to see the first colour illustrations for the book. David has been working so hard and the results are magnificent. The image above is still a work in progress, it is a detail from a double page illustration. We will be reveling more over the next couple of months.
We would love to know what you guys think of this image, please send comments / feedback to creature@creatuermag.com

Yorkshire Beard Day 2013
Artist: David Litchfield
Project: Freak of the week
Website: www.davidlitchfieldillustration.com
David Says: ‘For this weeks Freak I would like to exclusively present to you ‘Beardy McBeard’ a character I designed to promote the upcoming Yorkshire Beard Day event. Those of you who are fans of facial hair, beer, bands and family fun should get there on March 3rd. It’s going to be a fantastic day and all for a very good charity indeed. More info.
In other news, I have been working very hard on my collaboration with Creature head-honcho Matt Witt’s children’s book ‘Oscar The Onion’ and I will have some more sneak peaks from this to show Creaturemag readers over the next few weeks. It’s looking pretty darn brilliant so far if I may say so!’

David’s first freak of 2012 – ‘Freak In a Home Knitted Jumper’
David Says: “With the whole the U.K. seemingly bracing itself for wintery weather today I thought that this weeks Freak should be suitably prepared and wear this lovely and fetching hand-made wooly jumper.
Wrap up warm out there creatures”.
