Happy Friday! This week we celebrate a Christmassy Happy Friday with an amazing experimental collaboration between Nikki Pinder and Kate Egggleston Wirtz. They have really outdone themselves this time. From what we can deduce, Nikki created an image (above) then gave it to Kate and Kate created an image over the top of Nikkis (below). Then they did it the other way round (further below)!

Brilliant… never seen anything like it. We really love the humour in these images, aside from a Christmassy theme, Creature gave them a sentence to base their drawings on, we went to a random sentence generator and got this: “The wandering degenerate dances”.

Nikki’s explanation of her original drawing (top):

“Here’s a snowy scene of robotic monsters (a Nightowl and a Yeti) enjoying their Christmas evening in the Himalayan mountains of Tibet, wandering the cliffs in a merry and very drunk state. They’re dancing aimlessly and degeneratively to loud music a Christmas pudding is blasting out of his gramophone speakers.”

Kate’s explanation of her original drawing (below):

“Here we have the degenerate Rudolph acting as Dancer dressed in drag North Pole dancing. Santa and his reindeer seem to have gotten lost in the desert, wandering nomads enjoying the warmth. The camel is confused wondering what is going on.”
