Hello
Creatute here. So, the eagerly awaited fifth issue of
creaturemag is finally here and what a treat we have
for you. Articles, reviews, poetry, tunes, short stories,
and all illustrated by some of the most talented up
coming illustrators around. For this issue we asked
the world to respond to the brief outlined below. We
have been taken aback by the volume and quality of responses.
Enough from me though, read on...
To notice is to spark imagination,
the very essence of inspiration. Creative types are
inherently observant, it comes with the territory, the
things we notice are our food for thought. At Creature-mag
we take great pleasure in being observant and have been
rewarded for it, we saw an otter, in the city! Yes it
was an otter!
Within issue 5 we aim to consider
this in relation to the theme “lost and found”.
What have we discovered through noticing? What do we
lose by not noticing? Why do some notice and others
ignore and discard? Is our society losing awareness
or do we live in a cluttered culture where with so many
'things' we are simply becoming ignorant?

Now at creaturemag
we don't do advertising.. we do however take the time
to inform you of stuff that we like, that we think you
might like too, so let us take this moment to mention...
Last September the people of
Creaturemag went on a little adventure to the fields
of Dorset to attend a little known (brand new infact)
festival called The End of the Road. Highlights included,
Guillemonts, Badly Drawn Boy, Richard Hawley, Flipron,
Ed Harcourt and Ryan Adams' only festival date of 2006.
The festival is set in the grounds of the Lamar tree
gardens, Peacock and mcaws roam randomly adding to the
amazing atmosphere that the lineup, cider, food and
general feeling of community bring.
This year will see Super Furry
Animals, Josh T Pearson, The Bees, King Creosote and
Misty's Big Adventure, to name only a few. This is the
kind of festival where the ENTIRE line-up is the headliner

Pin
- A DIY zine publishing work that would otherwise
be sat at he bottom of a dirty draw.
Pin is published by Kelly,
a graphic designer originally from San Diego and
Nicole a writer originally from Melbourne. 200
copies of pin's first edition were printed and
they hope to do the same with the second. It is
distributed around Old St/Shoreditch/ Brick Lane
(East London), and does not cost a penny.
""We would like
it to be a quaterly publication but it really
depends on finances as we haven't got advertisement
so it's 100% funded by us."
