About
Ann:
Back in
days of yore, armed with a
degree in Graphics, a trusty
Letraset catalogue and a bargain
sized pot of cow gum, Ann
Ellis set out to explore the
mysteries of working at Marvel
magazines and her real education
began.
Some years
later, via a little used route
involving detours into art
direction, advertising, psychology
and academia, she emerged
into a world of digital illustration
where cow gum was no longer
necessary. Delighted, she
has never looked back.
About
the pics:
Not
Quite Flowers: Inspired
by the way butterflies, spiders
and insects blend in so well
with the flora.
Spidertime:
I read that a spider's thread
is five times stronger than
steel, and that this was due
to it being 'all in the timing'
in the way the spider controls
the chemicals.
