Encantado is a Portuguese word that roughly means, “the enchanted one”. However in Brazilian it refers to a creature that can shape shift between a dolphin and a human. The Encantado is drawn to human parties and fiestas and so only transforms into human form at night. It has to wear a hat to cover its blow-hole, the only part it can’t shape shift.
Encantados often kidnap those they are in love with.
