Giant Concrete Mushrooms!
Creature Speaks again, this time about the mushrooms.

So I here you took some giant concrete mushrooms to festivals, please explain.
This was really quite opportunistic… One evening we took a trip to a friends yard deep in the Wiltshire countryside, the intention of our trip escapes me at this point but what it lead to was brilliant to say the least. Pulling up in the car I caught the foggy silhouette of some large fungus shaped objects. On closer inspection we found ourselves wondering in amazement around a collection of rather large giant concrete mushrooms.
How did you come to own them?
It turned out the mushrooms were used on the odd occasion for events and displays, they were originally intended as ornaments for children’s playgrounds. After some probing we found that as long as it cost nothing to the owners they would allow us to use them to put in at festivals as art installations.

What events witnessed the mushrooms?
With the help of a lorry and a crane we first of all took them to a festival called Dare 2 in south Wiltshire. A small family geared affair, the organiser of which we had met at a local open mic night. They went down a storm so we decided to offer them around to a few local festivals, the End of the Road took us up on our offer and led to a second showing of the giant concrete mushrooms.
That’s really exciting…
Yeah, this part of the project really developed, we went along as a team and helped to set up the events, odd jobs, heavy lifting, a bit of painting and decoration, which we and the organisers loved. We met lots of lovely people along the way and this is definitely an aspect of the festival project we are looking to develop for next year.
