CREATURE UPDATE

a war of wordsWelcome. Many of you may have noticed that Creature has been a bit quiet of late… worry not, we are still alive! Thanks for the messages of concern… Not only are we alive but we have been shut away in our little room forging our master plan. The result? A whole bunch of exciting news for you.

Brand new Creature web site.

We love our web site, it is after all the lifeblood of this magazine, it sustains us and has helped us to reach a wider audience than we ever thought possible…

Due to this influx of interest in Creaturemag we have completely redesigned the website. As you can see it’s equally as beautiful. The site is a lot more user friendly too, ensuring that the work gets seen by as many eyes as possible. This blog will be voicing a mixture of rational and irrational views by various Creature contributors and more importantly stoking up more interactivity between the various members and readers of Creaturemag, ultimately developing our network of artists, writers and readers. We really hope that you enjoy browsing, I’m sure you will agree it’s a step in the right direction.

New mini issue: One minute wonders.

Along with the new site, to quench your thirst for new Creature material, we have launched a brand new Creature mini issue: One minute wonders – All submissions created in one minute or less. It’s been a long time coming we know… but it’s all been a little hectic. Some lovely work in there, many thanks to those who contributed.

Issue6: The Festival Issue.
Well our summer was largely pissed all over… it did not resemble the long hot months that we had envisaged, but hey, we are all in the same boat!

It did not halt our planned festival tour, which has so far visited the Salisbury Int’ arts festival, Glastonbury festival, Manchester int’ arts festival, Ben & Jerry’s festival, London, The Bell Inn Beer Festival, plus loads of other alcohol fueled weekenders. Next up is the Green man festival.

For the forthcoming issue we hope to inject some sunshine into the summer by asking you to contribute your festival related artwork and writing, stories of debauchery, tales of strange happenings, whatever you like, just as long as it was inspired by or created at a festival, music or otherwise. We are also interested in interviews with bands and festival organisers… full details of this can be found on our submissions page.

Don’t panic, Creature.

Over the last couple of months we have been featured in the online edition of Don’t Panic magazine, check out the entries below. Go to don’tpanicmedia.com to read the full issues.
